For just one night, I got to be Ms. Bettie Page. Bettie wasn’t a lifestyler, but I still stand by her. She was a brunette bombshell and her willingness to step in front of a camera made mainstream acceptance of fetish imagery possible. It was an honor for me to voted Bondage-A-Go-Go’s Bettie Page look alike at their annual contest.

Being a retrosexual, I had to enter. I just happen to love a vintage aesthetic that appreciates the kind of curves I have. I showed up with a bullet bra and all of the pinup charm I could muster. The thing I always loved about Bettie’s photos was her smile and I tried to recreate that with my own bubbly demeanor.
The competition was stiff. There were some really good looking Betties there that would absolutely smoke me in a “look hot in a corset” contest any old day. I have no shame saying that either, my hat goes off to good looking women and there were some very attractive girls in the running. I just happen to have a fetish for vintage lingerie and as far as authenticity goes I put some good effort into that.

Judging was in two parts: a prejudging session with a three-member panel (including a member of the Hellbillys who are a smashing Rockabilly band I have had the pleasure of seeing live in the past) and then a popular vote for the top three Betties. I was happy just to be in the top three of the lovely ladies and I was so thrilled to win the popular contest. I can’t wait to see all of the photos that Sleek Images took and I will be sharing them with you as well.
We are immortal so long as there is someone on earth to speak our name. Bettie Page does live on in the images we have of her. Even if she only did bondage and spanking for the camera (we all have our faults) she did so with a gorgeous smile. She was a very approachable bondage model and with all of the misconceptions about naughty photos it’s nice to have someone to point to that a mainstream audience can appreciate.

Congrats! Hate to say I told you so, but, “I told you so!”
