A popular among newspaper and cigar vendors it was not uncommon for men to have a shoebox full of photos like the ones you’re looking at now. They could be taken across borders and overseas without being detected, they fit into a pocket, they were perfect for a quick sexy note. French Erotic postcards were the rage of Paris and an exotic find for an American.
The photos you are looking at obviously aren’t from the 1920s. They are of your very own Miss Maggie Mayhem and were taken by the very talented Andrew Conway who was kind enough to open his studio to me to create my own little fantasy about living the life of an bohemian bright young thing living the metropolitan life in a big city full of lights, culture, and high hemlines.
Actually the man behind the camera on this was my son D. I set up the shoot, and acted as D’s assistant, and also did the post processing on these shots. D is also picking some of his favorite pictures from the shoot to do some post processing on, but he is far more meticulous than I am so it is taking longer. Thanks for a fun shoot, Maggie.
